Departure Day:

On Sunday, June 6rd, the Frank Ski Kids Foundation departed with six Atlanta area school students on our International Art Excursion to Rome, Italy. The flight from Atlanta was nine hours long, but I believe the kids enjoyed it, despite the turbulence. Lol!

Healing For The Heart

ATLANTA -- There are few events more special for a young person than the high school senior prom. It's a way to celebrate the memories, accomplishments and friendships from all those years of school. That's why Rockdale High School senior Raven Johnson was so devastated when she couldn't go. There happened to be a very good reason.

For a special group of people, that reason wasn't good enough.

Prom season has come and gone. The decorations are down. The music has faded. The baubles are in their cases. The dresses hang on the racks, waiting for next year.

Yet, here, they are getting ready. The makeup. The hair. The gowns. They are anxious...excited. Here -- they are going to one more prom.

Some might say that 18-year-old Raven Johnson is a lucky young lady.

Diagnosed with a devastating immune system disease, she has been hospitalized nine times in the last three years....
